Our Mission is to... 
 

  • Inform, Renew and Maintain a Network of Communication Among Zionsville Community School Alumni, Teachers, Staff and Friends 

  • Support the Needs of Zionsville Community Schools with Various Projects and Programs 

  • Plan and Hold the All-Class Reunions Every Three Years 

  • Recognize ZCHS Alumni who have strived to make the world a better place via our Soaring Eagle Hall of Fame Program 

  • Provide Annual College Scholarships for Graduating Zionsville High School Seniors.

ZIONSVILLE GAME DAY HONORS

The Zionsville Alumni Association (ZAA) will hold a “GAME DAY HONORS” celebration at the ZCHS Boy’s Varsity Basketball game vs. the Pike Red Devils at 3:30 PM, Saturday, January 28 at the ZCHS Gymnasium.

 

Tim Ottinger, ZAA President states “The Zionsville Alumni Association looks forward to celebrating Zionsville alumni with a special recognition on January 28. The ZAA will recognize its most recent Soaring Eagle Hall of Fame (SEHOF) recipients on court at half time as well as ZCHS alumni, Brad Stevens' upcoming induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in March 2023. Last but not least the ZAA honors all Veterans by giving any current Commander or representative of the Zionsville American Legion Post #79 with a lifetime ZAA membership". 

 

Ottinger and Jim Haines, also a SEHOF recipient will share the court with the Soaring Eagle recipients and representatives. Those who are no longer with us can be represented by a family member or friend.

 

The 2021 SEHOF recipients were Mr. Alfred Rosenstihl, Posthumously, long time Coach and Educator; Mr. Charles "Pete" Paddock, Posthumously, former School Principal and Educator; Mr. Steve Jones, Posthumously, Lifelong Minister of Music;  Ms. Ann "Birdie" Cripe, Educator and Advocate for the Arts; Ms. Dana Sue Wood Bacon, Educator and ZCHS Cheer Ambassador;  Mr. Alan Winters, Entrepreneur and Community Volunteer; Ms. Leigh Ann Akard, Community Servant and Charitable Philanthropy; Mr. Ron & Ms. Jo Beth Hough, Super Boosters of Zionsville Athletics, Band and Community and Mr. Mark Wilkins, World Class Researcher, Community Volunteer and Educator.

 

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame (IBHOF) just announced it's 61st Men’s Induction Class to be honored on March 23, 2023. Included is Brad Stevens, Class of 1995 ZCHS Alumni, former coach of the Butler Bulldogs, Boston Celtics and now president of operations for that team. Stevens joins three other IBHOF Inductees from Zionsville including Jim Rosenstihl (Class of 1944), Debbie Funkhouser Trennepohl (Class of 1977) and Kris (Veatch) Nolan, (Class of 1984).

 

Note: Zionsville Alumni Association members and SEHOF recipients will have free admission. ZCHS does not accept cash at the ticket gate. Advance tickets can be purchased by debit or credit at https://sites.eventlink.com/s/zionsville-high-school/purchase-tickets.
