ZIONSVILLE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION FALL UPDATES

They came by the hundreds at our triennial 2024 ZCHS Tours, SEHOF (Soaring Eagle Hall of Fame) Ceremony and ACR (All Class Reunion) on July 27.

It takes a lot of work to plan and develop these events but as attendees will say, “It was a blast! and so good to reconnect with those I have not seen for years” says Tim Ottinger, ZAA President. “Not just fellow classmates but so many teachers, coaches and staff from decades past were there”.

It’s a combination of seeing the enormous growth and redesign of ZCHS from what you may remember. It is the recognition of ZHS alumni in the SEHOF Ceremony who have strived to make the world a better place and yes lastly, the hugely popular All Class reunion full of friends, fun, food music and bids of farewell perhaps until the next one planned for 2027.

WAS IT A GRAND FINALE?

The ZAA (Zionsville Alumni Association), SEHOF and All Class Reunion all started in 2005.

The Zionsville Alumni Association has now hosted seven of these events over the span of 19 years. We are deeply grateful for those who have served in leadership positions, especially Jim Haines, Lori (Hypes) Overdorf and Ralph Stacey since the very beginning. And we appreciate the many volunteers who have also made these events possible.

Now through 2025 we must establish our future mission and those who can lead it into the future.

Typically in non-Reunion years the ZAA Board meets quarterly and strives to serve our ZAA members and Zionsville Schools in projects & programs as needs or wants arise.

If you or someone you know would like to help lead the next chapter of the ZAA, please contact us a zionsvillealumni@gmail.com

Go Eagles!
