2016 ZAA Scholarship Winner: Ellen Lehe

Ellen is enrolled in Purdue University studying Political Science and Psychology.

After graduation, she hopes to further her education attending law school. Ellen's goal is to be a lawyer, hopefully in the field of child advocacy.

Kaitlyn Bankert

Studying at Findlay University. Kaitlyn also received an $8,000 Scholarship from the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association). Candidates are members of AQHA who have completed a minimum of three years cumulative membership; are ranked within the upper 25% of their high school graduating class; exhibit an affinity for the advancement of the American Quarter Horse, and demonstrate leadership potential.

Studying Philanthropic Studies atn Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Class of 2018.


2013 ZAA Scholarship Winner: Catherine Mazanek

Class of 2017 at Miami University

• Senior American Studies Major with a Sustainability Co-Major
• Minor in Spanish
• 2014-2015 Altman Undergraduate Fellow in Miami's Humanities Center
• Conducted Research on So-Called "Frankenfoods" as an Environmental Issue
• Among the Founding Class for Miami's New Institute for Food

Catherine plan to take a gap year or two before going back to school to hopefully pursue a doctorate in American Studies. I would eventually like to work for a university and hopefully move into an administrative role, combining my passion for the humanities with my work I have done in other portions of the university.”


2012 ZAA Scholarship Winner: Allison Miller

Named semifinalist in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

 

2011 ZAA Scholarship Winner: Kelly McCarty

Kelly is the sixth of nine siblings, andhas lived in Zionsville since 1999. Through high school, she enjoyed being a participant in Cross-Country, Student Council, National Honors Society, Interact Club, Les Femmes, and Eagles as Leaders.She played the viola for almost nine years, and was an active member in the ZCHS Chamber Orchestra. In fall of 2011, she will be attending Indiana University in Bloomington, studying Spanish, Chinese, and International Studies.

2010 ZAA Scholarship Winner: Katelyn Bielawski

Twelve year senior.

ZHS Activities: Marching Eagles Color Guard for Freshman- Junior years;

Cadet Teacher Senior Year

Community Activities: Volunteer with the Zionsville Fire Department Fundraisers

Career Plans: Elementary Teacher. Attending Ivy Tech in the fall 2012.

Community Activities: First Community Church, Ten Year Member of Boone County 4-H, Pianst, Political Campaign volunteer, Attended mission trip to Scotland to teach children.
